Wieviele Orte gibt es noch auf der Welt, an denen es so eine Urspruenglichkeit und Unberuehrtheit gibt? Was tun wir uns teilweise an mit angeblich unverzichtbaren Annehmlichkeiten und vielleicht oftmals ueberfluessigem Luxus? Wir zahlen einen Preis dafuer, sicherlich meistens, ohne es zu merken...... Das Erste, was mir hier auffaellt, ist die Lautstaerke, die das moderne Leben, das teilweise hier Einzug gehalten hat, mit sich bringt. Das laesst mich noch einmal verstaerkt die Stille der Bergwelt empfinden, die einzig vom Gesang des Windes durchbrochen wird. Ich blicke auf eine unbeschreiblich reiche Zeit zurueck und waehrend ich diese Zeilen schreibe sind mein Herz bis... Just been to the morning Mantra-meditation in the monestary, it was very cold... Today is the first day where breathing becomes a little difficult for me. It's open how things go on from here, at which pace we move on, and up to which location we can go. My father is feeling fine again, now... Braeuchen unterwiesen hat... War gerade zum morgendlichen Mantrieren im Kloster, sehr kalt... Heute ist der erste Tag, an dem mir das Atmen etwas schwerfaellt, wie es von jetzt an weiter geht, ist offen, dh. mit welchem Tempo und bis wohin wir letztendlich gehen. Meinem Vater geht es wieder gut, nun fange ich an zu schwaecheln... mal... It is so incredibly blissful to walk through the valleys here and once in while climb one of the smaller peaks.... It is really uplifting. Today we decided to leave our main luggage in Namche and go on a day trip in order to get acclimated to the high altitude. We started off in Namche and were heading for Thame, a small village about 400 meters higher than Namche. It is famous for its monestary and a few celebrities, like Tenzing Norgay, the first Sherpa... It already feels like home to be back here and apart from that the situation is much much better than a year ago. This is due to many different factors. One is that the Maoists are by far milder in their appearance than last year. Where they used to have an armed post next to a bridge to blackmail tourists for entering the trekking area, there is nothing left but a brown spot in the ground. They have moved to a nearby village and dont do blackmailing anymore but solely... I woke up in a hotelroom filled with soft sunlight and when I moved my blankets away the temperature felt almost like a nice late spring of early summer day in Germany. The weather here is really a treat, at least so far, while staying in the Kathmandu valley. My father and I had breakfast in one of my favourite...
